One Dead Following Accident Near Rolette

At about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle driven by 75-year-old Irene Stromme of Minot was traveling westbound on ND Highway 66 approximately seven miles west of Rolette when it collided with a vehicle traveling east.

At about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle driven by 75-year-old Irene Stromme of Minot was traveling westbound on ND Highway 66 approximately seven miles west of Rolette when it collided with a vehicle traveling east.

Due to the icy conditions Stromme entered the north ditch. While attempting to correct, Stromme's vehicle slid across the road into the path of the eastbound vehicle driven by 58-year-old Logan Davis. Stromme was pronounced dead at the scene while Davis and his daughter, a passenger in the vehicle were treated and released from the Rugby Hospital. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
