The Farm Rescue organization is accepting applications for spring planting assistance.
The North Dakota-based nonprofit helps farmers in the Dakotas, western Minnesota and eastern Montana.
Farm Rescue sets up camp on the farms of injured, ill or disaster-stricken farmers, doing their planting or harvesting work rather than handing out money.
It was started in 2006 by Bill Gross, a North Dakota farm boy who now lives in Seattle, and last year helped its 100th farm family. It relies on donations, sponsors and volunteers
