The seventh grader won a trip to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver as a youth correspondent. Today, we were in Vancouver to talk to Cindy.

Starting last Wednesday Cindy Lim has been taking a crash course in media 101.

Cindy Lim says "I have to write, it's like being a reporter. We have a notebook and we have to get our notes down and type it out. It's like a big job to do it. I have to tell people about it. I have to tell what I did and the right information. I was fun to tell about how I spent the the opening ceremony. "

Cindy says the best part of her trip is meeting past olympic greats Picabo Street and Katarina Witt.

Lim won the trip courtesy of the McDonald's Champion Kid program, which selected 10 winning essays from across the United States.

Her mother, Emily, made the trip with her.
