Man Identified In Fatal Snowmobile Crash

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a Michigan, ND man killed in a snowmobiling accident on Sunday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a Michigan, ND man killed in a snowmobiling accident on Sunday.

Michael Duane Barney, 59, of Michigan died when the Arctic Cat snowmobile he was driving crashed on Nelson County Road 35 and Horseshoe Lake.

Barney was traveling westbound on Horseshoe Lake when his snowmobile made contact with a slight grade and went airborne adjacent to County Road 35. Barney cleared the county road, lost control of the snowmobile and rolled on the west side of Horseshoe Lake.
