The possible smoking ban is just one of the issues Grand Forks Mayor Mike Brown will talk about during his State of the City address this week. Brown says it's a defining moment in the city's history. He says that partnerships with the Grand Forks Air Force Base and UND, as well as upcoming developments in the city mean the city's next step will be a big one. He says UND has gone Division One, and now Grand Forks must do the same. Brown says he will also talk about health issues.
Mike Brown/Grand Forks Mayor: "We need to look at different aspects of our community and we need to look at ourselves economically and healthwise as well; and I think that's one of the three thrusts that we'll have in the State of the City on addressing health issues in our community."
Brown will deliver the address on Wednesday, February 17th at the Alerus Center from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.
