Power Outage in North Grand Forks
Nearly 2,100 people were without power on the North end of Grand Forks today. The outage was the result of a malfunction at an Xcel Energy substation on north 5th street at around 12:40 p.m.
Nearly 2,100 people were without power on the North end of Grand Forks today. The outage was the result of a malfunction at an Xcel Energy substation on north 5th street at around 12:40 p.m. Crews were on the scene to switch circuits and all but a handful of customers had power back by 3 p.m. Crews don't know the exact cause but all customers had power restored by 3:45 p.m.
