THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. (AP) - A 96-year-old farmer from
northwestern Minnesota has died three months after his 98-year-old
brother wandered from their home and died.
The Forum of Fargo, N.D., reports that Carl Larson died Thursday
shortly after moving into a nursing home in Thief River Falls.
In November, Larson went looking for his brother, Bill Larson,
who had wandered from their home near Oklee (OHK'-lee). Carl Larson
suffered hypothermia, collapsed in a ditch and was hospitalized.
Bill Larson was found in a field by hunters and later died.
The Larson brothers were bachelors who lived on the farm
homesteaded by their father in 1896.
Carl Larson's funeral is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Salem
Lutheran Church in rural Oklee.
