Two people killed in a house fire in northwestern Minnesota have been identified as an elderly couple.
The Roseau County sheriff said Tuesday 94-year-old John Ulvin
and his 89-year-old wife, Edna, died when fire swept their house
west of Roseau.
Sheriff Jule Hanson says the fire Monday morning appears to have
started in the basement near the furnace.
WCCO radio reports a state fire marshal is investigating.
It's the second fatal house fire in Minnesota in 24 hours. Two
people were killed in a New Ulm house fire Sunday evening.
