A man led police on a car and foot chase this afternoon on both sides of the river. The chase started shortly after 3:30 in East Grand Forks then crossed the river on the Kennedy bridge into Grand Forks.

Police say Devin Keplin was arrested behind a house on 24th Avenue South. East Grand Forks Police initiated a pursuit on Keplin who is believed to have felony warrants. Keplin got in his car, led police across the Kennedy bridge and into Grand Forks and eventually left his car and hid behind a house between Cottonwood and Cherry Street along 24th Avenue South.

Sgt. Bill Macki, Grand Forks Police: "The subject stayed mainly on surface streets, stayed out of highly populated areas and after several minutes ended up jumping out of his vehicle and leading officers on a foot pursuit and he was caught just a short distance away."

A homeowner we spoke with says he had a front row seat to the capture as he watched the cops apprehend Keplin from his window. As of right now we haven't learned the suspects age or charges. But it's safe to assume on whatever charges are pending, there also will be a fleeing an officer charge. We'll bring you the latest at 10:00.
