Charity groups in Devils Lake helped hundreds of families keep from going hungry. Cars were lined up for six blocks Tuesday morning at Bethel Church to get food from the Great Plains Food Bank's mobile food pantry.
Volunteers distributed an estimated 13,000 pounds of food to families in need. Each family got more than 40 pounds of food. There are no income requirements for people to collect food from the mobile pantry. The mobile food pantry also visited Sheyenne, New Rockford and Carrington today.
