GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A Grand Forks day care provider who
admitted shaking a 4-month-old boy and causing head injuries has
been sentenced to three months in jail.
Twenty-seven-year-old Marsha Brouillet also will spend nine
months on electronic home monitoring and three years on supervised
probation on the child abuse conviction. She also must register as
an offender against children.
Brouillet was accused of shaking the boy last March. Authorities
say the boy suffered a seizure the next day.
The boy's mother, Theresa Dietzler, says so far her son has not
shown any long-term effects.
