A Sacred Heart student is the lucky winner of the Cass-Clay Creamery's grand prize. 11-year old Ashley Combs received 5,000 dollars towards her school and a 1,500 dollar scholarship on top of a year's worth of Cass-Clay products.

Combs as well as another were selected from eight finalists across the state. The other six student finalists will be awarded 500 dollars.

Jerry Stadstad, Cass-Clay Creamery: "She started up the school newspaper and she started that up in amazingly 5th grade and she's the editor-in-chief right now so we thought that was an extraordinary deal to keep your grades up and also run a newspaper."

These students were selected based on extracurricular activities, academic achievements, and how their volunteer efforts make the school, classroom or community a better place.
