Sacred Heart Names New Principal

Sacred Heart School in East Grand Forks has named Carl D. Adolphson as its new principal. Adolphson succeeds Phillip E. Meyer who is retiring after more than 35 years in the position.

Sacred Heart School in East Grand Forks has named Carl D. Adolphson as its new principal. Adolphson succeeds Phillip E. Meyer who is retiring after more than 35 years in the position.

Adolphson is a graduate of Argyle High School and holds a bachelor's degree from UND in education and natural science. He received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. Additionally, he holds a Minnesota teaching license and is a life science instructor and football coach for Middle School West in Albertville, Minnesota. Adolphson has also coached basketball and baseball and served as a para-educator, biology teacher, driver's education instructor and alternative education teacher in Grand Forks, Calhan, Colorado and Monticello, Minnesota. He will begin in his new position July 1, 2013.
