A Grand Forks man has been charged with selling methamphetamine to a police informant three times this month, according to prosecutor Thomas Falck.

Joe David Rodriguez, 25, faces three counts of felony drug dealing.

If convicted on all three counts, Falck said Rodriguez would have to serve at least 20 years in prison under state rules.

Rodriguez also faces a count of possessing a meth pipe.

Polk County officials also plan to charge him for a meth deal in East Grand Forks, and he has two prior felony convictions, said Falck.

The prosecutor sought a bond of $15,000, saying Rodriguez has lots of reasons to flee. Magistrate-Judicial Referee David Vigeland agreed, and scheduled a preliminary hearing on April 15.
