Rep. Michele Bachmann and her short-lived campaign last year for the GOP presidential nomination are being investigated by the Office of Congressional Ethics. A lawyer for the Minnesota Republican says that Bachmann is cooperating with the investigation. Reporter Jay Kolls has more.

The group is attempting to determine if Bachmann's campaign used Political Action Committee money for her presidential bid.

Larry Jacobs, University of Minnesota: "...and there is supposed to be a firewall there and if that firewall was breached there will be problems. But, it is unclear if it was done and if so who gave the order."

Bachmann's campaign spokesman issued this statement that says, in part, "this is a politically motivated attack and there are no allegations that congresswoman Bachmann did anything wrong and any inference or suggestion to the contrary is baseless."

Jacobs: "You know, the smell of corruption, even questions that have to do with money, is the kind of thing that's hard to rub off."

Bachmann's congressional race last year cam down to just a few thousand votes.

Jacobs: "So, this is not good news for Michele Bachmann and probably adds to her difficulty in winning re-election in 2014."
