Currently in North Dakota you need a concealed weapon permit to carry a stun gun. Tanya Long is a concealed weapon permit instructor, she also sells stun guns. She says women are more interested in carrying stun guns versus pistols for self defense.

Tanya Long: "Here's the reality. If someone is stupid enough to attack me and they have a heart condition, it's me or them and I would choose me, I'm sorry. This is for self defense purposes and that's what its designed to be for."

Another bill being considered in the legislature also removes stun guns from the list of dangerous weapons.
