St. Michael man charged in Devils Lake robbery

A St. Michael, N.D., man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery Sunday at the Royal Lanes bowling alley in Devils Lake.

A St. Michael, N.D., man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery Sunday at the Royal Lanes bowling alley in Devils Lake.

Johnson Tollefson, 18, is being held at Lake Region Law Enforcement Center in Devils Lake, according to Detective Brandon Potts, with the Devils Lake Police Department. No bond had been set, as of this morning.

Tollefson is charged with armed robbery and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Police say Tollefson was one of two men who robbed the bowling alley at knifepoint at about 5 p.m. Sunday, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not hurt in the incident.

Potts said the second suspect has been identified, but that police are still searching for him.
