Snowmobile Accident Puts Man Behind Bars

44 year-old John Kinney of Manvel was hit by a snowmobile in the parking lot of the Jason Stad-stead Arena in Manvel just after noon today

Authorities say 44 year-old John Kinney of Manvel was hit by a snowmobile in the parking lot of the Jason Stad-stead Arena in Manvel just after noon today.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department says 25 year old Daniel Halcrow of Fargo struck Kinney.

Sargent Ron Gibbens says Kinney was talking to other people by a pickup outside the Arena when Halcrow lost control of the snowmobile and hit him.

He was arrested for driving a snowmobile under the influence.

Kinney was transported to Altru and x-rays were taken.

His condition is unknown at this time

Halcrow suffered minor injuries.

He is currently being held at the Grand Forks County Jail.

The Sheriff's Department was called to the scene this afternoon and continues to investigate the accident tonight.
