Three UND music students will be taking their talents to China and Japan. The Red River Trio is made up of violinist Vinicius Sant'Anna, Cellist Fernando Vargas and pianist Keith Teepen. They just finished concert tours that included cities in Ohio, Indiana and Minnesota. Now the trio is gearing up for their final concert tour in May visiting Shanghai, China and Kanuma, Japan.

Teepen: "We are all go getters, that is to say that we all work hard and also have our own ideas musically, and it works when you have three different ideas and put them together to make something special."

Kanuma, Japan is Grand Forks' sister city. Mayor Brown will pay a visit there at the same time the trio is touring.
