Man injured in two-vehicle accident in south Grand Forks

A Devils Lake resident was injured this morning in a two-vehicle accident in southwest Grand Forks.

A Devils Lake resident was injured this morning in a two-vehicle accident in southwest Grand Forks.

According to police, Ashley Scheer, 19, of Fisher, Minn., was westbound on 32nd Avenue South about 10:46 a.m. today when she turned left at 34th Street, failing to yield to an eastbound vehicle driven by Sumit Bhandari, 38, Devils Lake.

Scheer’s vehicle was pushed into the southeast berm of the intersection. A 41-year-old passenger in Bhandari’s vehicle was taken to Altru Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Scheer was cited for failing to yield at an intersection.

Altru Ambulance and the Grand Forks Fire Department also responded to the accident.
