Because the weather has changed Fargo is changing its mind and protecting the city to 43 feet. So, Sandbag Central is reopening to pump out another 500,000 sandbags.

It's set to reopen on Thursday. 171,000 sandbags currently being stored at the site will need to be moved tomorrow. Schedules have to be realligned and volunteer organizers are working around the clock to get everything running again.

Bruce Grubb, Fargo Enterprise Director: "I think it kind of publicly demonstrates the seriousness of this flood threat. And so, that's what those additional 500,000 sandbags will allow us to do is to build those sandbag levees to a 43 foot elevation."

Organizers are asking for at least 300 volunteers at any given time in order to get this done.
