Crookston police urge residents to stay away from moose

Crookston Police are asking residents not to get to close to a moose that has wandered into town.

Crookston Police are asking residents not to get to close to a moose that has wandered into town.

The moose has made its home on the out skirts of town, and occasionally shows up in neighborhoods. Police have then chased it back out of town. Police Chief Tim Motherway says people that get too close to the moose take the chance of getting charged at by the animal. The DNR hopes the moose which has been in the Crookston area for over a month will leave once things start to green up.
