BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A screening committee wants applicants for
two openings on North Dakota's Board of Higher Education.
North Dakota state school superintendent Wayne Sanstead is
chairman of the panel. He says people who are interested in serving
should apply to his office by 5 p.m. March 25.
The Board of Higher Education has eight voting members. The
four-year terms of incumbents Duaine (duh-WAYNE) Espegard
(ES-puh-gard) of Grand Forks and Sue Andrews of Mapleton are ending
July 1.
Espegard has served for three years, and he's eligible for
appointment to a second four-year term. Andrews has served the
maximum of two four-year terms.
Gov. John Hoeven will pick the new board members from a list of
three finalists for each opening.
