Kyle Pederson was in court today in Traill and Grand Forks counties for his preliminary hearings.
Pederson is charged with 8 robberies in the area including several in Grand Forks, one is East Grand Forks and one in Mayville.
The Aasen Drug store in Mayville was robbed on December 21st.
During the robbery authorities say Pederson went into the store, showed a black and silver handgun and demanded the painkiller, oxycontin.
Authorities say Pederson got away with more than 200 pills and also grabbed about 300 dollars from the cash register.
During his preliminary hearing in Trailll County, the prosecution presented evidence and testimony that Pederson admitted to the robbery in Mayville and the others during police questioning.
The judge then ruled that there is enough evidence to go forward.
Blake Hankey: "we did have a contested preliminary hearing this morning in Traill County. The State presented their evidence. The judge found there was enough probable cause to believe a crime was committed and that my client committed the crime. And from here on out we'll just proceed in the normal course."
In Grand Forks county Pederson waived his preliminary hearing and will be back in court on Friday.
