Union Pacific train derails, spilling grain in Blue Earth, Minn.

A large cleanup effort is ahead in Blue Earth where ten cars of a Union Pacific train derailed, tipped over and dumped piles of grain along the railroad tracks.

BLUE EARTH, Minn. (AP) — A large cleanup effort is ahead in Blue Earth where ten cars of a Union Pacific train derailed, tipped over and dumped piles of grain along the railroad tracks.

Fairbault County sheriff's deputies and the Minnesota State Patrol helped Blue Earth officers handle the derailment Sunday about 5:20 p.m.

KBEW reports no one was injured and the cause of the derailment is under investigation.
