Devils Lake is getting an opportunity to enjoy music and culture from halfway around the world. The band "tarim" has been in Devils Lake all week, coming all the way from Western China.

The band has been busy sharing their culture and their music for children at local schools. Tonight they'll perform for the public at Lake Region State College. Band members are different from many other Chinese people. They come from the Uyghur region in China and have a culture all their own.

Tursun Kadeer, Band Manager: "Almost all the people have no idea about Uyghurs, so this is very important. We introduce our culture, especially music."

Their concert at Lake Region State College begins tonight at 7:00.
