The sounds of UND baseball are back in Grand Forks.
The Green and white spent Wednesday afternoon practicing outdoors-their first full practice at Kraft Field.
Taylor Petersen, UND Junior catcher, "We're probably the only team in the country that hasn't had an outside practice until early May, so it's a little different, we gotta roll with it."
North Dakota has rolled up a record of 13 wins 17 loses and one tie, all 31 games on the road..
Jeff Dodson, UND Head Baseball Coach, "We've done OK on the road, we've played some really nice ball games that we came out on the losing end of but once you get at home you fully expect things to start turning your way."
And with field finally playable, the squad is looking to turn the corner
towards a Great West Championship.
Andrew Thome, UND Sophomore pitcher, "Our expectations are set pretty high this year so we think they're right there with the best teams in the conference."
For UND to sell that pitch, the message is loud and clear.
Taylor Peterson, UND Junior catcher, "Win series, top to bottom. We got three weekends left and we're going to have to win them all to get back in it, get ourselves on a roll in going into conference weekend and get ourselves a tournament championship."
