The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department used their newly purchased unmanned aircraft system for the first time today in the search for a missing Walsh County man. Volunteers have been searching for 55-year-old Gregory Guy Miller since Monday.

His truck was found in high water just outside of Minto. The UAS was used for about half an hour this morning, though nothing was found. Authorities say having the aircraft system allows them to search places they can't get to otherwise.

David Gerszewski, Minto Fire Chief: "We got some points of interest that the divers are looking for. Hopefully we can find and recover something."

Officials plan use the UAS again next week if nothing is found this weekend.
