The man who ran a business staple of Oslo, Minnesota has died.
Bob Dahlstrom, the man who helped run and sustain Dahlstrom Motors in Oslo passed away Wednesday in Grand Forks.
According to his obituary, Dahlstrom started his car business in 1932 at the age of 16, when he would ride a bus to Detroit, Michigan and buy used Model A Fords.
He served in World War II as a combat infantryman in the South Pacific. After the war, he returned to Oslo to work at Dahlstrom Motors with his father.
The obituary says that Bob was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo. He was on the Oslo City Council, and was a board member of Valley State Bank and the Valley Memorial Home Association.
Bob’s was married to his wife Myrtle for 68 years- she died on February 12th of this year.
Dahlstrom was 93.
