Former UND Forward Grant Paranica Hired as GFC Boys Hockey Coach

Former UND forward Grant Paranica has been hired as the head boys hockey coach at Grand Forks Central High School, succeeding Tony Bina, who resigned to become Central's activities director.

Former UND forward Grant Paranica has been hired as the head boys hockey coach at Grand Forks Central High School.

Paranica played at UND from 1985 to 1989, and was a member of the 1987 national championship team. Paranica has been coaching youth hockey at various levels for the past 18 years including as a Central High School boys' assistant from 1998-2005.

Paranica works with programming and skill development for the Grand Forks Youth Hockey Association. He is a self-employed publishing consultant in Grand Forks.

Paranica succeeds Tony Bina, who resigned to become Central's activities director.
