Women in Crookston are learning some ways to lower their risks of certain diseases. In recognition of National Women's Health Week RiverView Health is will holding its Sixth Annual Women's Fest.

The program empowers women to make their health a top priority and encourages them to take steps to improve their mental health. Part of today's discussion was reducing the risk of heart disease.

Meghan Updike, Family Nurse Practitioner: "It's important because women have an important role in their own lifestyle modifications and managing their health and just trying to find that optimal level of health that they want for themselves and their family members."
