It was all about the men today at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Men of all ages came to check out the Men's show. The show was a man's paradise. There was food, outdoor sporting equipment, and motorcycles-a little something for everyone. Everything from meat, to hunting equipment; for the experienced hunter and the beginner.
Joshua Nelson: "Looked at a couple motorcycles and stuff. Just something to do."
Dan Johanneck: "Campers, boats, things for recreation. We have a couple of small children, so we're looking to keep them active outdoors."
People came to buy something new or try something new, everything from beer samples to bird calls. And you didn't have to be a man to learn something at the men's show.
Brian Nelson: "It's a lot to see, for not just men but for the whole family."
Even though it's called the Men's show, plenty of families came to check it out. Women also visited the vendors and watched the dog training. Kelly Anderson and Anne Bryson say even though their husbands brought them, they weren't bored.
Kelly Anderson & Anne Bryson: "Lots of different, interesting things. People are all very nice. It was a fun show, very fun."
The floor at the Alerus Center was full of vendors who had their taste of a full day meeting with potential customers. There are 3,000 people expected this weekend, and those who came today say they liked what they saw.
Brian Nelson: "I'm outside as much as I can be. I love to fish and hunt, so [I like] everything here-everything from the John Deere tractors to Hitch and Go."
The Men's Show will also be open tomorrow at the Alerus Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
