Body found during search for Bemidji man

The Bemidji Police department recovered the body of a man during a follow-up search for 31-year-old Matthew Pulis. In the aerial search today authorities spotted something in the water about 100 yards off shore in the northwest corner of Lake Irving.

The Bemidji Police department recovered the body of a man during a follow-up search for 31-year-old Matthew Pulis. In the aerial search today authorities spotted something in the water about 100 yards off shore in the northwest corner of Lake Irving.

The search for Pulis started in October 2012. He was last seen at a bar in downtown Bemidji in the early morning hours October 20th. He sent a short text to a friend then but his electronic media devices have not been accessed or used since that time. Pulis doesn't own a vehicle or drive.

The body will be sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine the cause and manner of death.
