The first races at River Cities Speedway were temporarily postponed today as a fuel truck brought down two power lines.

A semi-truck loaded with 500 gallons of fuel got caught on low-hanging power lines as it pulled into the back entrance of the race track. The truck snapped two poles and pulled down several lines before stopping. Grand forks fire, police and sheriff's departments responded and Excel power was called on scene to shut off electricity running through the downed lines. No one was injured.
