It's one of the most impressive streaks you'll ever see.

11 consecutive titles for the Grand Forks Red River girls tennis team.

So many, that lone Roughrider senior Lalangi Marasinghe can't keep up.

The four-time doubles champion and her teammates are in prime position serve up that even dozen this weekend.

Lalangi Marasinghe, Red River Senior, "We all want to do well and I guess having the pressure of being state champs for however many years in a row it gives us a little more to shoot for to have that pressure behind us."

Nobody knows that better than Red River head coach Greg LaDouceur.

"That is the ultimate goal is to play in that state finals and ultimately get that state finals match but we're just going to keep working hard here and hope to get there."

Getting there one match at a time.

"They know what they've been working at all season long and what their main goal is and we have one more weekend to get there."

The year coach will see two individuals and two doubles teams represent the Riders at this year's state tournament.

Mimi Yunker, Red River Junior, "We have good teammates to practice against so that also helps in practices and in improving our game."

Cindy Lim, Red River Sophomore, "We just play our game and we just try and keep our title. We know that we're capable of winning and if we play our game we should be fine."

Red River will square off against Bismarck High Thursday at 1 p.m.
