After a weekend of flooding in the region the National Weather Service says Devils Lake should be spared from any dangerous weather this weekend.
The weather service was supposed to release new flood outlook numbers for the region today but last weekend's storm skewed the numbers too much to make an accurate prediction. Three inches of rain pushed farmers out of their fields for at least a week and delayed the start of the two Devils Lake outlets. But the weather service says expected rains this weekend shouldn't amount to much, sparing the region from further damage.
Brad Bramer, National Weather Service: "Probably on the order of a half to three quarters of an inch across the northern valley, Devils Lake area."
The weather service says they'll begin working on a new flood outlook for Devils Lake once water levels stabilize next week.
