For the eighth straight year Grand Forks Public Schools has not met federal math and reading standards as a whole.

Grand Forks did not meet goals for Adequate Yearly Progress, but they are not alone. More than two thirds of public schools in North Dakota not making AYP. School administrators said the standards continually increase over time and make it impossible for students to meet all of the goals. Assistant Superintendent Jody Thompson said there's more to his district than test results.
