Absence of funding leads Kittson County to unpave roads

Officials in Kittson County are turning paved roads into gravel roads because of a shortage of funds. Officials in the Northwestern Minnesota county say this could become more common if state aid dollars don't start to keep up with increased costs.

Officials in Kittson County are turning paved roads into gravel roads because of a shortage of funds. Officials in the Northwestern Minnesota county say this could become more common if state aid dollars don't start to keep up with increased costs.

Kelly Bengtson from the Kittson County Highway department says the 2008 state legislature changed how funds were distributed, and that is what got them in their current situation. David Schwab reports.
