St. Joseph's Social Care in Grand Forks kicked off its free summer lunch program today. Youngsters lined up at any one of six spots for a sack lunch... free of charge. The program will provide about 250 meals each weekday to any and all children who ask. The goal is to ensure they have somewhere to go during the lunch hour where they can enjoy a balanced, nutritious meal. Volunteers say they have as much fun giving out free lunches as the kids have eating them.

Aubrey Davis-Petrault: "I actually really love it. I love them coming to the line and getting excited and actually using hand sanitizer and getting over there and sitting with their friends. It's great. The looks on their faces are great."
