A 19-year-old Wahpeton man is in custody after a crime spree last night. Police received 21 reports of car vandalism and are looking into whether the suspect was responsible for all of them.

Tires were slashed, vehicles broken into, and two cars were even set on fire. After a stabbing at the Family Dollar store last week and an armed robbery at a local gas station in May, residents say all this crime is unusual in their quiet town. The 19-year-old suspect will face charges including unlawful entry and endangerment by fire. Authorities are withholding his name until those charges are formally filed.
