A United States marine corps and navy veteran is walking his way across North Dakota this week. It's part of a six month, 3,300 mile journey for Sergeant Chuck Lewis called "walking for the fallen." He's walking along Highway 2 from Everett, Washington to Washington D.C. Today (Monday) he's made a stop Devils Lake. Lewis says he's walking to raise awareness for wounded and disabled veterans.

Lewis: "For me, I served during Vietnam and it's been forty years now and I got to do an awful lot of things that friends of mine didn't get to do."

Lewis is expected in Grand Forks later this week and will also make a stop in northeast Minnesota. To help Lewis raise 50,000 dollars for wounded and disabled Veteran programs or to track his journey, you can visit http://www.walkingforthefallen.com.
