Mixed reviews place MN, ND in the lead for child well-being

North Dakota and Minnesota continue to lead the nation when it comes to child well-being. Minnesota ranked 4th overall and North Dakota 6th.

North Dakota and Minnesota continue to lead the nation when it comes to child well-being. Minnesota ranked 4th overall and North Dakota 6th.

The criteria for the study are Economic well being, education, health and family and community. Not all the news is good though. The report says 22,000 children in North Dakota are living in poverty. And Minnesota's child health ranking went from 7th to 15th. Nearly 30 percent more children are living in poverty in Minnesota now than in 2005.
