Independence day is just one day away and there's a lot of celebrating to do. It's the 53rd anniversary of the Sertoma Fun 4th and Firework event, and there's a full list of things to do in the Town Square.

There will be a lot going on this 4th of July and it's going on all day long. People can expect everything from winning a car in a rafftle to a hefty load of fireworks.

The Grand Forks Sertoma Club has been putting on an annual firework show for 53 years now and this years budget is sitting in the ballpark of 12 thousand dollars. The day will start off with the patriotic kids parade around noon -- and from there everyone will be able to enjoy food vendors, beer gardens, petting zoos and bands. Something new Sertoma is bringing to this years event is a raffle for a 2013 Nissan Versa. Other raffle prizes also include a trip to Las Vegas.

There is a lot for people to enjoy and it's all capped at the end of the day with fireworks at 10:30.

Opening Ceremonies will start at 12:15 with a raising of the flags. The first band, Kenny & the Classics will play from 3 to 6, Billy D and the Crystals will go from 8 to midnight. And fireworks will start around 10:30 PM.
