One person is injured in Dunn County and an emergency manager says she's glad no one was killed during a severe thunderstorm Monday night.
Extreme winds took over in the western part of the state. In Halliday you could almost retrace the path of the storm, which took out barns, trees and mobile homes. Evidence of the 90 plus mile an hour winds is still strewn across the area. Just north of Killdeer, three planes were overturned during the storm. It caused mostly property damage. There are hundreds of downed trees across town, and as of this afternoon, power was still being restored. Debris is being hauled away by city workers, but residents say it will take several days to fully clean up.
According to Dunn Couny Emergency Manager Denise Brew, one person in Killdeer was injured in the storm last night. They were reportedly in their trailer which was blown over. She did not have an update on the person who was hospitalized. There were no other injuries in the county reported.
