The Polk County Sheriff's department continues to investigate the death of a 55-year-old East Grand Forks man. Brad Nelson died in a tractor rollover northeast of East Grand Forks last night. His family says they are devastated they've lost a son, husband and father.

Brad's mother, father, siblings and friends all tell us they are still trying to wrap their heads around the fact that Brad is gone. The family describes Brad as a farmer who loved to hunt and fish. He is one of six children and is survived by his wife, daughter and son. His family said Brad was cultivating headlands of the bean crop when the tractor rolled over. A neighbor found Brad pinned in his flipped tractor in a ditch near his homestead around 7:30 Tuesday night. Brad's family says they hope police will be able to answer their questions and give them closure with an autopsy.

Sgt. Phil Juve, Polk County Sheriff's Department: "The man's body was taken to UND to for an autopsy, and so at this point it's unclear the exact cause of why he went gone into the ditch."

The family says Brad had a very strong faith, and when the funeral service is set, it will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks.
