In addition to those in Grand Forks, lake region residents also have a place to send donations for the 170 dogs. Daisha Azure, owner of Pretty Paws dog groomers, is collecting supplies to send to the Casselton veterinary clinic housing the dogs rescued from a Cass County farmstead.

She had offered to groom all of the dogs for free, but says she was told the dogs were in such bad condition they couldn't be transported to Devils Lake for the cleaning. Instead, she's collecting supplies to send down to them. She says the most pressing items are thing that will help calm the dogs and make them more comfortable. A fund has also been set up for the animals at Bremer Bank.
