The Eiffel Tower will soon be in Grand Forks. Well, at least a miniature model as the North Dakota Museum of Art's Picasso in Paris summer art camp started today.

Young artists are learning to use and blend oil pastels. The week-long camp introduces kids ages six to thirteen to the works of Picasso and his artistic style. Organizers say that Picasso believed everyone was an artist and this camp gives kids an environment to explore their artistic side.

Shelia Dalgliesh, Camp Instructor: "I think they get a little more independence because they have to clean up after themselves, they have to get their own supplies. It's freedom. Freedom. They get to choose, they get to decide, they get to be creative and I think that's really important."

The camp will conclude with the kids building a miniature eiffel tower. For more information about the summer art camps, click here.
