NOONAN, N.D. (AP) - A former nursing home in the northwest North
Dakota town of Noonan has been converted to housing for oil field
and other area workers.
The nursing home closed in April 2008. Richard Ford bought the
building and turned it into The Crash Pad, which operates similar
to an extended-stay hotel.
Manager Marci Girodengo says the 18 double-occupancy rooms
usually are full and that in the past the facility has even had a
waiting list.
