Casselton teen believed to be under the influence in Tuesday rollover

Police believe a 17-year-old girl from Casselton, North Dakota, was driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding when she rolled her vehicle.

Police believe a 17-year-old girl from Casselton, North Dakota, was driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding when she rolled her vehicle.

The accident happened Tuesday night about one mile north of Hannaford, on North Dakota Highway one. Police say the juvenile lost control of her car on a curve in the roadway, slid into the ditch and rolled. The vehicle was totaled. The driver was able to get out of her car and flag down other motorists. She was air lifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Griggs County Sheriff Robert hook says the girl was wearing her seatbelt and should be able to make a full recovery. Charges are pending through the juvenile court system.
