Former Hospital May Be Converted To Apartments

STANLEY, N.D. (AP) - The former hospital in Stanley might be
converted into apartments to help alleviate a housing crunch in the
oil patch city.
Lutheran Social Services Housing has an option to buy the
hospital from a private owner to convert it into a 16-unit
apartment complex.
Jessica Thomasson, director of LSS Housing in Fargo, says the
agency hopes to launch the project later this year but the deciding
factor will be the financing.
Thomasson says the building would have units of different sizes
and prices to accommodate a range of family sizes and incomes.
The hospital closed in 2002 when a new facility opened.
